Project details

Nova will be developed as a subsea tie-back connecting two templates to the Gjøa platform for processing and export. Gjøa will also provide lift gas to the field and water injection for pressure support. Power for the Nova field comes via the Gjøa platform from shore.

Neptune Energy is building a new module for the Gjøa platform that will integrate produced oil and gas from Nova for processing and export as well as inject water and deliver lift gas to the field. HMC’s new-generation semi-submersible crane vessel Sleipnir, the largest in the world, is scheduled to undertake the heavy-lift of the Nova module in May 2020.
