Network details

The 264 km NOGAT pipeline system is managed and operated by Neptune. It extends from the Neptune-operated F3-FB platform on the Dutch continental shelf to a gas processing plant at Den Helder. NOGAT’s maximum capacity is 32 million Nm3 per day. Annual gas throughput is approximately 3.9 billion Nm3.

The network links with pipelines from gas fields in the German and Danish sectors. The Danish continental shelf is connected through the Tyra West-F3 pipeline. The German continental shelf is connected through the A6-F3 pipeline.

Connected companies can use pipeline gas to bridge short production stops. The system is able to mix gas of differing qualities before delivery to the Dutch network.

Operational since 1992
