Field facts

The Jangkrik and Jangkrik North East fields are part of the Muara Bakau production-sharing contract. This covers over 1,000 km² of the eastern part of the Kutei Basin. Production is currently averaging 115 kboe per day, which is already at plateau stage. Our 33.3% interest in its 226 mmboe gross 2P reserves makes this the largest asset in our portfolio.

Production is coordinated on a Floating Production Unit (FPU), managing ten deepwater subsea wells. Produced gas is processed onboard the FPU. It then flows via a dedicated 79 km pipeline to an onshore receiving facility, and along the East Kalimantan Transportation System to the Bontang gas liquefaction plant.

Jangkrik supplies the local domestic market as well as the LNG export market. It makes a significant contribution to Indonesia’s growing energy requirements.
