Field facts

Draugen is located in the Norwegian Sea at a water depth of 250 metres. The field has been developed with a concrete fixed facility with integrated topside. It has six platform wells, five of them producers, and six subsea wells.

Draugen reached peak production in 1999. Since then, there has been increasing emphasis on measures to enhance oil recovery.  A 4D seismic survey in 2009 recommended an infill drilling campaign. This was sanctioned in 2011. The project included four production wells and a subsea pump. New initiatives currently being evaluated are likely to deliver additional improvements in oil recovery. These are expected to increase production and prolong Draugen’s field life.
